Working with acclaimed actors on this project made it especially clear that they are one of the main forces through which a director’s vision takes shape. Performers also shape the atmosphere of the set, so it matters to create conditions where their talent can fully unfold. At the same time, in a collective art form, you cannot rely on performance alone as the project’s only safety net.
